The Headlight Restoration Market
  • Every type of car is affected from Ford, GM and Chrysler to Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Toyota, Honda, etc.
  • 2006- There were 135 million passenger cars registered in the USA along with 100 million other two axle vehicles.
  • Total USA market of about 235 million vehicles
  • Breakdown by age- according to National Automobile Dealers Association- 2001:
  1. 38% - greater than 10 years old
  2. 22% - between 7 & 10 years
  3. 25%- between 3 & 6 years old
  4. 14%- 2 years or less
Conclusion is that approximately 60% of the vehicles are over 7 years and in need of repair.
This calculates to about 161 million vehicles that need headlights repaired. At $50 per car for a repair this would translate to a total market potential over $8 Billion.

This does not even include commercial trucks that also need the same repair!
